Stress Awareness Month
According to the Mental Health Foundation, 74 percent of the UK population experienced stress they weren’t able to cope with at one point of the year or another. As a force that motivates and keeps us going, stress is not necessarily a bad thing. However, ongoing or excessive stress doesn’t allow the body to recover after the “flight-or-fight” response. This can interfere with day-to-day life and seriously damage your health.
Learning the coping strategies to help reduce stress such as mindfulness meditation, yoga, journaling, or psychotherapy is the best thing you can do to boost resilience and improve your overall wellbeing.
