As a powerful force that keeps us going and motivates us to pursue our goals, stress isn’t necessarily a bad thing. Stress will drive you to pass exams or meet deadlines at work. However, prolonged or excessive stress can harm your physical and mental health.
A recent study showed that in 2018, 74 percent of the UK population have felt so stressed that they were unable to cope, with work as the most common cause of stress for adults in the UK (59 percent).
An open dialogue about the issues we are facing and stress management courses are great ways to raise awareness of stress and how it affects our health and day-to-day life.
