Research shows that connecting with nature helps relax and clear your mind and experience less feeling of depression and anxiety. In addition to lifting mood disorders, spending time outdoors helps reduce stress, improves focus, and boosts resilience.
Whether it is a daily walk in a park, spending the weekend at the beach, or biking on a local trail, your time with nature is beneficial to mental health and overall wellbeing. If you cannot make it to the park or beach regularly, find other ways to bring nature into your day-to-day life. Gardening is a great way to spend time outdoors more regularly. Dedicate a spot in your backyard to year-round growers such as tomatoes or lettuce or plant some pot flowers. You can also join a communal garden in your neighborhood and socialise while spending time outside.
